Ahh, new pictures on the website at last - The Death Run. I waited to get pictures from others, but none came, so there are only mine.

Birthday yesterday was excellent. French toast in bed for breakfast courtesy of Rosemary, then work, then dinner out at Subeez, followed by a fantastic concert. The Tea Party, easily one of my favorite bands, with a symphony orchestra, circus performer, guest musicians and vocalists, all at the Orpheum Theatre. Wow. Thank you Rosemary! Then we met up with the cast of "A Doll's House" afterwards to say goodbye to Rhona, who's heading back to Scotland - safe travels!

Late night, and today I almost fell asleep in the meeting. Lovely all in all.

Great Scott! One month since the last Blog! Must be some kind of record. The play ended as a success - one of the best box office returns they've ever had. I'm looking forward to the next one. I was invited to audition for "The Birds" by Aristophones. Hmmmm...

Why no Blog? Been traveling around the province spreading the gospel of a forest education. Merritt, Kamloops, Terrace, Prince Rupert and Hazleton. I arrived in Kamloops the day after the murder/suicide thing. Fortunately (for me I guess) I didn't know any of the people involved. The cliche really does come to the top of your head that you "don't expect things like that in a place like this". We forget that they're all places like this.

Pete's back safe for a week or so. Rosemary and I are fine and moving to a new place in December! She's gotten a new job as a Financial Assistance Officer for the Faculty of Medicine at UBC. She'll be working from the medical school which is based at Vancouver General Hospital. So, we've gotten subsidized housing in a brand new complex on campus at UBC. Very new, and very nice. More rent than we pay now, but I can walk to work in five minutes, and she'll have a 30 minute free commute each way on a shuttlebus. We'll be able to romp in Pacific Spirit Park from our back patio. No more cramped living downtown, we're now into a two-bedroom place, so we finally have a decent sized place to host out-of-towners come December. Call ahead for reservations.

Tayt's a Dad. Welcome to the world Sierra!

Running in the Haney to Harrison relay race this weekend. My stretch is leisurely 15km... up hill. Yessssss.

And a special shout out to sister Kirsten. You've shown your strength and courage. Dream big, move forward.
