Had another lovely cross-country skiing weekend in Kamloops with our good friend Ev, who introduced Rosemary and I to each other four years ago. She turns 30 later on this month so there was a suprise birthday party for her. As part of our gift to her I wrote a song for her. She's an avid mountain biker (as well as a teacher, actor, aerobics instructor, skier, artist, fish enthusiast, etc.) and we've had lots of good rides (and times) together, so it was that spirit that became the focus of the song. That and her increadible exuberance and lust for life (hence the not so serious music and singing). Anyway, we had a great weekend, and it was another reminder to me of how rich I am with wonderful friends and a pretty decent life.

Okay I'll Blog.
I'm in another play - The Constant Wife by Somerset Maugham, to be directed by Adam Henderson. He's a young director with a lot of energy. First read through with the cast is tomorrow night. I play John, the cheating husband. Rosemary hopes I'm past my method acting stage...
Dad's in Laos.
Pete's in Calgary. So's Ian.
Wayne's in Texas.
Kate's in Salmo.
Kirsten's in Bragg Creek. Or Calgary.
God's in his/her/its heaven and I'm learning about the new Forest and Range Practices Act. The latest version of BC Forest Policy. Hmm.
Saw The Corporation. Pete would be proud. If he gets a house I'm going to bug him about the wood that holds it up. Oh yes I am.
Coworkers are in Victoria this week - very sad when the fledglings leave the nest for the first time. No desparate phone calls so I'm assuming everything is going alright.
I need tolose about 5 pounds. Any takers?
